Stamford, Vermont: On October 18 at 8:30 am Stamford Elementary will participate in a school-wide waste sort. The event is designed to be a thought provoking project to assess the school’s current recycling and food waste composting success. Remaining trash will be sorted to see what remains and how it can potentially be reduced, reused, or recycled to reduce even more of the school’s waste.

The Town of Sunderland has modified its pay as you throw ordinance to remove the requirement that haulers report the amount of materials they haul from the town on a quarterly basis. The revised ordinance is posted here.
